Ligurian Cooking Class: Make 3-Course Meal in Private Home
Make three Ligurian dishes and eat them overlooking the water
A hands-on cooking class in Anna's private house where you prepare a three-course Ligurian meal—fresh pansotti pasta with walnut sauce, stuffed calamari or meat dish, and peaches with amaretti cake—then sit in the garden to eat what you made, with wine included. The class runs five hours and you choose between seafood, vegetarian or meat menus at checkout. English, Italian and French guides available.
The Experience
You arrive at Anna's house and move straight into the kitchen. Over five hours you'll make three dishes from scratch: hand-rolled pansotti—the region's signature "big tortellini" filled with greens—dressed in the traditional walnut sauce pounded in a mortar; your choice of stuffed calamari with peas, a meat dish, or a vegetarian option; and a soft peach and amaretti cake for dessert. Anna teaches the techniques as you work, showing you how Ligurian cooking builds on a handful of core methods and ingredients that have stayed the same for generations. The kitchen tools are provided, and so is everything you'll cook with.
Once the meal is ready, you move to the garden to eat it. The table overlooks the sea, and wine comes with lunch and dinner. You're not watching a demonstration or tasting what someone else prepared—you're sitting down to eat the three courses you just made, in the setting where Anna cooks every day.
