The experience

You meet your Cesarine host at their home in Arezzo and spend an hour in their kitchen watching and helping prepare your meal. The recipes come from family cookbooks passed down through generations. The kind of cooking that happens in real Italian homes, not restaurants. You'll learn how to make fresh pasta and the regional dishes that define Tuscan food, working alongside someone who knows these recipes by heart.

After the show cooking, you sit down to eat what you've helped make: a 4-course menu that starts with seasonal crostini, moves into fresh pasta like maccheroni con l'ocio, continues with a main course of Chianina steak and side dish, and finishes with a typical Tuscan dessert. Water, a selection of red and white wines from regional cellars, and real Italian espresso are all included. The whole meal takes about two hours.

Cesarine is Italy's oldest network of home cooks: over 1,000 hosts across more than 500 cities who open their own kitchens to travelers. Your host is someone who lives in Arezzo and cooks this way every day. You'll get the exact address once your booking is complete, and the customer service team is there if you need help finding the place.
