The experience

You arrive in Ubud with limited time and no rental car. This tour solves that: a private vehicle picks you up from your hotel, and an English-speaking driver handles the route while you move through the day. The 10-hour itinerary splits between six hours at destinations and four hours in transit, so you're not sitting still. You're moving between stops that would take hours to reach on your own. Each location is chosen to show a different side of Ubud: spiritual, agricultural, adventurous, natural.

The day starts at Sacred Monkey Forest, a sanctuary of hundreds of long-tailed macaques living among ancient temples. You walk through the forest on your own pace, watching monkeys in their habitat and moving through courtyards with a spiritual atmosphere. Next is Swing Heaven, where you're suspended on a jungle swing high above the canopy: the moment most people photograph. Then comes Tegalalang Rice Terrace, where you walk between the emerald-green terraced fields and learn how the traditional Subak irrigation system works. Lunch happens at Sweet Sister's Cafe, a break before the temple and waterfall.

Tirta Empul Temple is a Hindu water temple with sacred spring pools where locals perform melukat, a purification ritual you can observe. The day ends at Tegenungan Waterfall, surrounded by tropical vegetation, where you can walk closer to the water and take photos before the driver returns you to your hotel. The all-inclusive option includes entrance tickets and lunch. If you choose transport and guide only, you pay for meals and entry fees separately at each stop.
