Bali ATV Riding: Through Tunnel and Waterfall

Ride the Bali countryside on your own quad bike, not as a passenger in someone else's.

Bali ATV riding is a guided quad bike activity where you operate the machine yourself through rice paddies, jungle, rivers and a man-made tunnel. You choose between a solo ride (one person per ATV, ages 13–65) or tandem (two people sharing one bike, ages 6–12 with a parent). The activity runs about an hour and includes boots, helmet, safety gear, insurance, a guide, lunch and a shower to rinse off the mud afterward. Private pickup from hotels in Ubud, Seminyak, Canggu and other south Bali areas is available as an add-on; without it, you arrange your own transport to the start point.

The Experience

The ride starts with a welcome drink and a short safety briefing while you fill in insurance paperwork and get fitted with boots and a helmet. If you've chosen tandem, you and your partner decide who takes the handlebars first. Then you follow your guide and group through the Bali countryside—rice fields give way to jungle, you ford rivers and navigate a man-made tunnel, and the route ends at a waterfall. The whole thing takes about an hour on the bike.

After the ride, there's time to shower off the mud and change into clean clothes before a sandwich lunch. If you booked the private transfer, your driver brings you back to your hotel, villa or apartment in Ubud, Seminyak, Canggu, Kuta, Legian, Sanur, Jimbaran or Nusa Dua. Without transfer, you'll need to arrange your own way home from the finish point.
