The experience
The day starts at Sanur Beach on the mainland, where you board a speedboat for the crossing to Nusa Penida. The Sanur Boardwalk is a paved walk along the water where you can scout photo spots or simply wait by the shore before departure. Once on the island, a private vehicle takes you between four distinct coastal stops, each with its own geology and view.
Klingking Beach draws crowds for the cliff formation that resembles both a Tyrannosaurus Rex and a pinkie finger: the name Kelingking actually translates to pinkie, a reference to the smallest finger on the hand. Angel's Billabong sits on the east coast as a crystal-clear tide pool that cascades into the ocean. The itinerary notes that manta rays cruise this coast at leisure. Broken Beach is a cove defined by a natural archway that wraps around the bay, allowing water to flow in and out from the ocean. Crystal Bay, on the west coast, stretches 200 metres of sand and is known as a snorkelling and dive site despite its isolation.
Lunch happens at Pradja Slumbung villa restaurant, where you eat local Indonesian food and can use the villa's pool facilities to cool off between beach stops. The tour also includes a visit to Penataran Ped Temple, a sacred site just off Bali's coast on Nusa Penida, which plays an important role in local spiritual life. The return speedboat departs from Sanur in the late afternoon, ending the day back on the mainland.

What is Klingking Beach actually like when you get there?
Klingking Beach is named for its cliff formation, which resembles both a Tyrannosaurus Rex and a pinkie finger: the name Kelingking translates to pinkie in English. The cliffs form the main draw, making it one of Nusa Penida's most popular photo stops.
Can you swim or wade at Angel's Billabong?

What makes Broken Beach different from the other stops?
Broken Beach is a cove defined by a natural archway that wraps around the bay, allowing water to flow in and out from the ocean. This collapsed sea cave formation is what gives the beach its name and sets it apart from the other coastal sites on the tour.
