The experience

The boat leaves Lovina beach in the early morning, when dolphins move into the shallows to feed. You'll watch them from the deck as they jump and play, then slip into the water holding a wooden float tied to the boat. This keeps you stable and lets you swim at the dolphins' level as they pass underneath. The captain and guide stay with you throughout, and the boat is equipped with safety gear and life jackets. The water is warm and the dolphins are used to swimmers, so the encounter feels natural rather than staged.

Once the dolphins move on, you have free time to explore Lovina's coral reefs on your own pace. The snorkeling here is the main draw after the dolphins leave: colorful coral formations, schools of tropical fish in different sizes and species, and a series of underwater statues scattered across the seafloor. The reefs are close to shore and shallow enough that you can see everything clearly. All snorkeling equipment is provided and fitted before you get in the water.

You can book a small group departure with shared transport and a meeting point, or a private boat with your own vehicle pickup. The small group options depart from either central or north Bali. The private boat does the same. Whichever you choose, the boat, guide, snorkeling gear and mineral water are included.
