Two dives where manta rays show up, not where you hope they might

Certified scuba diving in Nusa Penida at Manta Point and Crystal Bay with a guide leading groups of up to four divers. The experience

Manta Point and Crystal Bay are the two sites where manta rays congregate in Nusa Penida, and the operator runs the dives there because sightings are almost certain rather than a gamble. You meet at 8:30 am, and the boat leaves at 9:30 am. The day ends back on land by 2 pm. The guide stays with a maximum of four divers per guide, so you're never in a crowd underwater.

You bring your dive certification and swimwear. Everything else (wetsuit, tank, weights, BCD) is provided. The boat carries snacks and drinks, and lunch happens between the two dives. The second dive is the longer one, and both happen at the same two sites so the guide can read the current and position the group where the rays are moving.

The price is 1,300,000 IDR per person and covers the guide, all equipment, the boat, lunch, snacks and drinks. You need at least an Open Water certification. Beginners cannot book this dive. Minimum age is 12, and moderate fitness matters because you're entering and exiting the boat and managing your own buoyancy for two full dives.

What’s included

  • boat transport to Manta Point and Crystal Bay.

Is this one for you?You operate your own equipment on both dives, so this suits certified divers who want to dive independently with a guide managing the group and the sites. If you're not yet certified or prefer to watch rather than dive, look for a snorkeling trip or a discover scuba course instead.

It may be canceled due to bad weather. If that happens, you're offered another date or a refund. Free cancellation up to 24h before the start.

What are Manta Point and Crystal Bay like underwater?

Manta Point and Crystal Bay are the two sites in Nusa Penida where manta rays feed and rest, so they're the reason the operator runs dives there. The rays are large, gentle, and move through the water column. The sites themselves are reef and open water, and the guide positions the group to watch the rays pass.

Do I need to be an experienced diver to book this?

Yes, you need at least an Open Water certification. Beginners cannot join. The dives assume you can manage your own buoyancy and follow the guide's hand signals underwater.

How long are the two dives?

The activity runs from 8:30 am to 2 pm on land, with the boat leaving at 9:30 am. Both dives happen at the same two sites, and the second dive is longer than the first.

What's included in the price?

The 1,300,000 IDR price covers the certified guide, all scuba gear, the boat, lunch, snacks and drinks. You bring only your certification card and swimwear.

Can I book this if I'm 12 years old?

Yes, the minimum age is 12, but you must hold an Open Water certification or higher. Age alone does not qualify you. The certification does.
