The experience
Your guide picks you up from your Seminyak hotel at 8 a.m. and drives you inland toward the waterfalls. The route passes Tegalalang Rice Terrace and Tirta Empul Temple, so you see the landscape shift from coastal resorts to rice paddies and jungle. By 10 a.m. you reach Tegenungan Waterfall, where the water runs clear enough to swim or wade. It's the most visited of the four but still draws fewer tourists than the beaches. An hour later you're at Tibumana Waterfall, set inside a cove ringed with flowers and jungle. The water is deep enough for a proper swim and cool without being cold: a relief on a steamy Bali day.
Lunch comes at noon with views of Mount Batur across the Kintamani highlands. By 3 p.m. you're hiking to Dunsun Kuning Waterfall, the least-visited stop on the tour. The hike is steep and the path can be muddy, so this is where the moderate fitness note matters. Those who prefer not to hike can sit on the boulders and listen to monkeys call from the nearby forest. The waterfall itself sits at the end of an exhilarating scramble down, and the river pool below is deep enough to jump into. Return to your hotel by 6 p.m., depending on your location in Seminyak, Canggu, Jimbaran or Uluwatu.
The van is air-conditioned and carries bottled water throughout the day. Your guide handles all entrance fees and knows the route well enough to time the stops so you're not waiting in crowds. WiFi is available on board if you need it.
Is this one for you?Book this tour if you want a private vehicle and guide for the day. You're not sharing the van or the guide's attention with other travelers. The fixed schedule means all four waterfalls and Mount Batur fit into one morning and afternoon, so you're not choosing between them.

Top questions
Can children come?
Yes. Ticket types: Child (3 to 10 years); Infant (under 3): free.
What's the water like at these waterfalls, is it safe to swim?
Tegenungan and Tibumana both have pools deep enough for swimming, and the water is clean and cool. Dunsun Kuning's river pool is also swimmable but requires a steep hike to reach it. Bring a change of clothes or a quick-dry shirt if you plan to get in the water.
How difficult is the hike to Dunsun Kuning Waterfall?
Dunsun Kuning requires scrambling down a steep, muddy path and is the most physically demanding stop on the tour. The operator notes it's not recommended for travelers with spinal injuries or pregnancy. If the hike doesn't suit you, you can stay at the top and enjoy the views and sounds of the forest.
Will we actually see Mount Batur, or just pass by it?
Mount Batur sits in the Kintamani highlands inland from the waterfalls, and you get views of it from the lunch stop and along the drive. It's not a climb. You're viewing the volcano and its crater lakes from a distance while eating.
What happens if my hotel is in a different part of Bali? Do you still pick me up?
Pickup is included from any hotel in Seminyak, Canggu, Jimbaran or Uluwatu. The exact pickup time may vary depending on your location, but the tour departs at 8 a.m. and returns by 6 p.m.
