You’ll swing high above Ubud’s jungle, sample fresh chocolate at a local factory, then cool off at Nungnung Waterfall—all in one easy day with private transport and lunch included.
We left our hotel just after breakfast, the air still cool and a bit misty. The drive out to Bongkasa took us past endless rice paddies—some folks were already out tending the fields, waving as we passed. Our driver pointed out a tiny roadside stall selling fresh coconut water; I made a mental note for next time. By the time we reached My Swing Bali, the sun was peeking through the clouds and you could hear the river below before you even saw it.
The swings here aren’t just for show—there are five different ones, each with its own view over the jungle and Ayung River. I tried the highest first (my legs were shaking at takeoff), but once you’re up there, it’s just wind in your hair and green everywhere. There’s also a couple’s swing if you’re not flying solo, plus these woven nests where everyone lines up for photos. Our guide was happy to snap pictures—he knew all the best angles.
Lunch was simple but tasty: local chicken satay and rice at their open-air restaurant overlooking the trees. You can actually hear birds calling from down in the valley while you eat. Afterward, we drove over to POD Chocolate Factory. There were elephants grazing nearby (didn’t expect that!), and inside we got to watch how they make their chocolate from scratch—lots of samples too.
The last stop was Nungnung Waterfall. Heads up: it’s 500 steps down (and back up), so bring good shoes and maybe a change of clothes if you want to swim. The sound gets louder as you go down—by the time you reach the bottom, it’s almost deafening but in a good way. Hardly anyone else around when we went, just a couple of locals taking photos and one guy selling bottled water at the top. We spent about an hour there before heading back—tired legs but totally worth it.
Yes! Kids can join as long as they’re accompanied by adults. Some swings have height restrictions for safety, but there are plenty of photo spots too.
It’s about 500 steps down (and back up). It’s manageable if you take your time—just wear comfortable shoes and bring water.
