This 4-day tour from Surabaya covers three of East Java's major sites: Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park, Ijen crater and Tumpak Sewu waterfall. You'll hike Bromo's crater at sunrise, climb Ijen volcano to witness blue fire (weather and volcanic activity permitting), trek through jungle to a waterfall, and stay in local accommodation between days. The experience

The itinerary builds around the volcanoes. Day one is pickup from Juanda Airport in Surabaya and transfer to Malang for the night. Day two starts before dawn with a drive to Tumpak Sewu. You trek to the three-tiered waterfall and return by mid-morning. Day three moves you toward Bromo: a pre-dawn pickup, a drive to the national park, then a sunrise viewing from the rim followed by a hike down into the crater itself. By afternoon you're heading to Banyuwangi, the base for Ijen, arriving with the evening free.

Day four is the Ijen climb. A guide picks you up just after midnight and drives you to Paltuding, the trailhead. The ascent takes roughly two hours. You reach the crater lake and may see the blue fire phenomenon (sulfur flames visible only in darkness, dependent on volcanic activity and weather). You'll spend time exploring the crater and watching the sunrise before the two-hour descent back to Paltuding, breakfast at the hotel, and a final drop-off at Ketapang port or Banyuwangi city by mid-morning. A local trekking ranger accompanies you on both the Ijen and Tumpak Sewu sections. An English-speaking guide is available. The tour requires a minimum age of 15 and moderate physical fitness. It is not recommended for travelers with spinal injuries, cardiovascular conditions or pregnancy.

Accommodation and most meals are included across the four days, though lunch and dinner are on your own. You'll need warm clothing (jacket, sweatshirt and trousers) for the high-altitude volcano sections. Confirmation via WhatsApp is required at least three days before departure.
