The experience

You arrive at Brady's Cay Beach, a private resort island off Roatan's coast, with snorkeling gear, kayaks and paddle boards waiting on the sand. The water is shallow enough to wade in and deep enough to see reef fish, sea turtles and rays without a boat ride. If you want to paddle out, the boards and kayaks sit at the shore. If you'd rather stay in the shallows, the marine life comes to you. The beach itself is white sand backed by palm trees and a restaurant bar, so you can move between the water and a shaded seat without leaving the property.

After the water time, the excursion moves to the wildlife encounter: a walk through the habitat where sloths, capuchin monkeys, spider monkeys and tropical birds live. This is not a zoo (the animals are in their natural setting on the island), and it sits between your beach time and lunch, so you're not choosing between one or the other. Lunch is a full meal with two drinks included, eaten at the resort restaurant while live music plays.

Round-trip transport picks you up from your cruise ship or hotel anywhere on Roatan and brings you back with time to spare before re-boarding.
