The experience
The Mono Loco leaves from West End and heads straight to the Blue Channel, where you get 90 minutes in the water with snorkel equipment provided. If you're a certified diver, you can scuba instead. The boat takes up to four certified divers per cruise. Once you're back on deck, the boat cruises along the West End and West Bay shorelines so you can see the North Shore from the water while lunch arrives: pulled smoked chicken sliders with three-bean BBQ, plantain chips and fresh fruit. Two drinks from the full bar are included.
The catamaran itself is built for comfort. It's a tri-hull design that stays stable in the water, with 95% of the sun deck covered, private restrooms with power flush toilets, a freshwater rinse shower, and nonslip flooring throughout. Wheelchair access runs to all areas and surfaces. The boat is reviewed for its combination of comfort, food, fun and value, which matters when you're spending a morning on the water with strangers.
After lunch, the return journey includes karaoke and limbo. The whole outing takes 3.5 hours from boarding to return. Children from age 5 can join. Younger children can ride in a stroller but must stay in the boat. Service animals are welcome, and public transportation options are available near the boarding location.
