The Experience

The day starts at a viewpoint 800 feet above sea level where you can see most of the island and pick up souvenirs before heading to the monkey and sloth park. That same location holds the zipline park, where you fly through 13 lines strung through the jungle canopy. After the zipline, you move to the wildlife encounter to see monkeys, sloths, iguanas and macaws up close.

From there you head to West End Beach and board a boat for one hour of snorkeling on the second-largest reef in the world. Snorkeling gear, a guide in the water and a snack on the boat are all included. Once you finish, you explore West End on foot, stopping at the Chocolate Factory and rum cake factory for free samples at each. The route then takes you to West Bay Hills and the lighthouse for island views before a final photo stop at the giant Roatan sign.

The entire experience runs 4 to 5 hours from when you step off the ship, with an air-conditioned vehicle handling all transport between stops. A live guide in your language stays with the group throughout. You're dropped back at the cruise port parking lot when it's done, so you're back with plenty of daylight left if you want to explore on your own.
