You make the meal, then you eat it together at the table.

A two-hour cooking class in a Chalkidiki home where you prepare an authentic Mediterranean lunch under the guidance of Evangelia, a piano teacher and performing artist. You work through the process of transforming fresh, locally sourced ingredients into a complete meal (feta cheese, village bread, Greek salad, stuffed tomatoes and peppers, and rose loukoumi), then sit down together to share what you've made, with one glass of white wine per person included.

The experience

The class unfolds in Evangelia's bright, welcoming house, the place where she spent her childhood summers. You arrive and step into a kitchen built around fresh, locally sourced ingredients. For two hours, Evangelia walks you through the intriguing secrets of making an authentic Mediterranean meal, showing you how to transform those ingredients from the counter to your plate. She draws on her diverse cultural influences: fourteen years in London, one year in Switzerland, and a background in Hygiene Studies alongside her work as a piano teacher and supporting actress. Her warmth and charisma shape the whole experience.

The menu is fixed: you'll work with feta cheese originating from the Greek mainland, soft and made from sheep's or goat's milk; village bread with its unique flavor and texture, the kind that used to be prepared in outdoor wood-fired ovens; a Greek salad made with tomatoes, cucumbers, onions, olive oil and oregano; traditional stuffed tomatoes and peppers filled with rice and herbs like spearmint; and rose loukoumi, a beloved treat in Greek homes usually offered to guests as a gesture of hospitality. The sequence moves you through each dish, building toward the meal itself.

When the cooking is done, you come together at the table to savor what you've prepared. One glass of white wine per person is served. The point is not just the food. It's the moment of sitting down together, creating valuable memories, and clinking your glasses over a meal you made with your own hands. That memory of Greece stays with you after you leave.
