The Experience

The boat itself is the first thing you notice: a military-grade speedboat with two 300hp engines, built to move fast and hold steady in the water. You meet at the dive center in Nikiti at 9am, spend the first hour getting fitted to the snorkeling gear and learning what you need to know, then head out at 10am. The five-hour window gives you time to hit multiple spots around Diaporos island—the clearest water in the area, according to the operator—and move between lagoons without rushing through any of them.

Snorkeling here means you stay at the surface with a mask, fins and a breathing tube, watching the reef and fish below without the training or weight of scuba gear. The guide teaches you the basics during that first hour on shore, so you're ready to get in the water and actually see what's down there. You'll explore different lagoons and reefs, the kind of spot-hopping that only makes sense on a fast boat—you're not stuck in one place for the whole day.
