The experience

A speedboat picks you up from your Chania hotel or the closest meeting point and heads out to Souda Bay, the Mediterranean's largest natural harbor. The boat stops at multiple snorkeling sites where the water stays calm and visibility runs clear. You get professional-grade masks, valve snorkels, fins and wetsuits. Everything fitted and explained on deck before you enter the water. A PADI diver accompanies your group throughout, pointing out the fragile ecosystem below and staying close enough that you're never alone, but the depth and time you spend underwater is yours to choose.

Stand-up paddling is optional: if you want to try it, an instructor on the boat walks you through the basics and stays nearby while you glide across the surface. The boat carries fresh seasonal fruit and cold water, and an action camera records your time in the water: the footage and photos get sent to you free after the trip. The whole experience runs three hours from start to finish.

An upgrade option adds electric Yamaha Sea Scooters to your snorkeling, letting you cover more ground and move through the water with less effort. Sea scooters suit anyone 12 and up who wants to extend their range without the physical demand of swimming. They're available at checkout if you want to add them to your booking.
