The experience

The boat leaves after you're picked up from your accommodation or meet at the dive center in Chania. Your guide helps you select snorkeling gear that fits properly, then walks through the safety procedures and how to use the equipment before you enter the water. The first snorkeling spot is where you spend time in the water, with the guide staying close to offer support and point out what's below. Back on the boat, you get a break with fresh fruit, a light snack and bottled water to recover before heading to the second spot.

At the second location, you snorkel again or simply relax on the boat if you've had enough. The guide knows which spots work for different skill levels: beginners get shallower, calmer water with flotation aids if needed, while experienced snorkelers can go deeper. The whole outing runs roughly 4 hours from start to finish. After the second spot, the boat heads back to the dive center, and if you arranged pickup, your driver takes you back to your accommodation. Otherwise you're free to leave on your own schedule.
