Make toasts in true Georgian style while a trio sings and wine flows across a mountain terrace.
A traditional Georgian Supra is a three-hour dinner activity in Georgia where you sit at a long table, make toasts guided by an appointed toastmaster, eat dishes prepared by a family chef using local ingredients, and listen to live polyphonic singing. The toastmaster sets themes for toasts on family, friendship and celebration. You choose whether to speak. White wine, honey vodka and local spirits flow throughout, and all food, beverages and the live performance are included.

The experience
The meal takes place on the terrace of a 150-year-old house overlooking the Lesser Caucasus Mountains, with views opening toward Gomis Mta on clear days. If weather turns, the terrace provides shelter and blankets. Your host is Meri bebo, Grandma Meri, the family's eldest member and the chef who leads the kitchen. She and her team prepare everything from scratch: traditional salads with walnut sauce, freshly baked cornbread, lobiani (bean bread), mtsvadi (meat skewers of veal, lamb or pork), kharcho (a slow-cooked meat stew), and desserts like pelamushi made from grape juice. All ingredients come from partner farms in the village.
The toastmaster, the appointed head of the Supra, shapes the evening by offering themes for toasts. There is no pressure to speak. Toasts are invited but optional. When someone does raise a glass, the tradition calls for creativity: toasts should read like poems or short stories, not quick remarks. White wine is the drink of a true Supra, though honey vodka and other local spirits are also poured. Between toasts and courses, a trio from Guria performs traditional polyphonic singing. The kind of music that is woven into Georgian celebration itself. The whole rhythm of the evening (the food, the toasts, the singing) follows rules that have shaped Georgian gatherings for centuries.
A guide fluent in English or Russian is present throughout. Pickup is included, so you do not arrange your own transport to the house. The experience lasts three hours and covers all food, all beverages, and the live music performance.
