The experience
Your captain and Tahitian guide meet you and shape the whole morning around what you want to do. The boat circles the island at whatever speed suits you, stopping in the coral gardens where the guide knows the shallow reefs and the fish, and steering clear of crowds. You snorkel with the equipment provided, and the guide stays in the water with you, not to narrate, but to keep you safe and point out what lives there. The approach is always respectful: shallow places, no touching, no stress.
Around midday you pull up to a secluded islet that is yours alone for the afternoon. A covered shelter and deck chairs wait there. Lunch is a traditional Tahitian barbecue (fresh local fish, warm dishes, cold sides) served right at the water's edge. Wine, champagne and soft drinks come with it. The skipper stays nearby if you need anything, but the space and the quiet are the point.
Snorkeling gear, all soft drinks aboard, and hotel pickup are included. The guide speaks English or French, whichever you prefer.

Is this one for you?The three-and-a-half-hour span leaves the rest of your day free: morning departure gets you back by early afternoon, or an afternoon start works if you're flexible with dinner timing. The private boat means no schedule beyond your own pace, and no other groups on the water or at your lunch table.

Top questions
What languages is the guide in?
Live guide in English and French.
Can children come?
Yes. Ticket types: Child (5 to 12 years); Infant (under 5): free.
What happens if it rains?
It may be canceled due to bad weather. If that happens, you're offered another date or a refund. Free cancellation up to 24 h before the start.
What's the snorkeling like in Bora Bora's lagoon?
The coral gardens sit in shallow water where you can see the reef structure and the fish that live there: grouper, parrotfish, rays and small sharks are common. The guide knows the best spots and avoids the places other boats crowd into. The water is warm and clear, and the shallow depth means you stay comfortable even if you're not an experienced snorkeler.
Can I choose where we stop, or is the route fixed?
The route is yours to set. Your captain will sail around the island and you decide where to stop, how long to stay, and what to do at each place. If you want to snorkel one spot for an hour, you can. If you'd rather move every twenty minutes, that works too.
How much time do I actually spend in the water snorkeling?
The whole outing runs about three and a half hours from pickup to drop-off. Most of that is on the water: snorkeling, cruising between spots, and lunch on the islet. The guide paces it so you're not rushed, but the exact time in the water depends on what you choose to do.
Is the lunch included, or do I pay extra?
Lunch is included: a traditional Tahitian barbecue with fresh fish, warm and cold dishes, and your choice of wine, champagne or soft drinks. You eat on the islet at your own table in the shade.
What if I'm not a strong swimmer?
The guide swims with you for safety and comfort, and the snorkeling happens in shallow water where you can stand up. Snorkeling gear is provided. If you have spinal injuries, cardiovascular concerns or are pregnant, this activity is not recommended by the operator.
Does the price include getting to the boat, or do I arrange my own transport?
Hotel pickup is included. The boat departs from Bora Bora and returns you to your hotel at the end.
