Slide into the lagoon, then snorkel with rays and sharks

A two-hour private snorkeling trip on Bora Bora's lagoon aboard a boat equipped with a slide, where you swim with rays and sharks in shallow water away from crowds. The boat includes unlimited champagne, beer, soft drinks and snacks; a guide speaks English and French and shares Polynesian stories; pickup is included.

The experience

Two hours on the water means you get the lagoon without the full-day commitment. The boat is private, so it's just your group (families, friends, whoever you book with), and the slide at the back turns the boat itself into part of the activity. You snorkel in spots the guide knows, the ones where rays and sharks actually show up, not the tourist beaches where the fish have learned to hide.

The guide navigates you through the turquoise water and tells you what you're looking at: the coral gardens, the species moving through them, the stories that belong to this lagoon. Champagne comes out on the water, cold and waiting. Beer, soft drinks and fruit are there too, so you're not managing hunger or thirst between swims. Towels are on board, and there's a shower to rinse off the salt before you head back.

Pickup is included, so you don't arrange transport to the dock. The boat has a slide for kids and lounge seating for the adults who want to float between snorkels. Wheelchair access is available, and the guide can arrange specialized infant seats if you're traveling with very small children.

Is this one for you?Book this if you want to snorkel on your own terms in a private setting: no guide hovering, no crowds, just your group and the lagoon. The two-hour window fits a half-day plan, and the boat's amenities (champagne, slide, lounge) make it as much about floating as about swimming.

Top questions

What languages is the guide in?

Live guide in English and French.

Can children come?

Yes. Ticket types: Child (13 to 17 years); Infant (under 13): free.

What's the water like when I snorkel in Bora Bora's lagoon?

The lagoon is shallow, warm and clear enough to see the coral gardens and the fish moving through them. Rays and sharks are common in the spots the guide takes you to, and they're accustomed to snorkelers. You're watching them, not chasing them.

Is the boat really private, or will there be other groups?

The boat is private to your booking, so only your group is on it. That's why the slide and the lounge seating are yours to use without sharing the space.

How much time do I actually spend in the water snorkeling?

The trip is two hours total on the boat, and most of that time is spent snorkeling at the spots the guide chooses. You'll surface to move between locations and to use the slide or rest on the lounge.

What if I've never snorkeled before?

The guide is there to help, and the lagoon is shallow and calm. Nothing like ocean snorkeling. The water is warm, the visibility is good, and the guide will show you where to look and what you're seeing.

Does the champagne and food come out during the trip, or after?

Champagne, beer, soft drinks, fruit and snacks are available throughout the two hours, so you can eat and drink between snorkels or while you're floating on the lounge.
