Snorkeling in Bora Bora: Private catamaran with floating bar
The floating bar sits in water so shallow you stand in it while the reef life swims past.
Snorkel Bora Bora's lagoon on a private catamaran with your group only, sailing to coral reefs and Paradise Bay where a floating bar serves drinks in water you can stand in. The boat is a 46-foot performance catamaran; the captain customizes the route to show you the island's best reefs and marine life. Hotel pickup and drop-off, a professional guide in English, Spanish or French, bottled water, snacks and beverages are included. The half-day outing runs four hours.
Step-by-step itinerary
Half-day luxury catamaran sailing
- Board the Vitamin Sea catamaran
- Sail Bora Bora lagoon with captain
- Swim with marine life
- Enjoy Floating Bar in shallow water
- Relax with drinks and music
The Experience
You board the Vitamin Sea, a 46-foot catamaran built for performance sailing, and it is just your group on deck. The captain sets the route based on what you want to see—the coral reefs, the marine life, the shallow bays where the water stays clear enough to see the bottom. You sail across the lagoon under full canvas, and the boat moves the way a racing catamaran should, responsive and fast enough that the wind and the water feel like part of the ride, not a backdrop to it.
The snorkeling happens at coral reefs and in Paradise Bay, where the water is so shallow you can stand on the sand. You swim with the reef fish and the marine life that lives there; the guide stays in the water with you and shows you where to look. When you are ready to surface, the floating bar is anchored in the same shallow water—you wade to it, order a drink, and stand in the lagoon with ice-cold beverages and chilled music playing while the reef stays visible around you. Snacks and both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks are included; the service runs through the whole four hours.
Hotel pickup and drop-off bookend the day, so you do not arrange transport to the dock. The guide speaks English, Spanish or French depending on the option you choose at checkout. The catamaran holds between two and twelve people depending on the group size you select, and the captain customizes the stops and the route to match what your group wants to do.

What is the water like for snorkeling in Bora Bora's lagoon?
The lagoon water is shallow and crystal clear, which means you can see the coral reefs and the marine life from the surface and while you are in the water. Paradise Bay, where the floating bar sits, is shallow enough to stand in.
Do I need snorkeling experience to go on this catamaran?
No. The product is suitable for all physical fitness levels, and the professional guide stays in the water with you and shows you the reefs. The shallow water at Paradise Bay means you can wade in and out easily.

Hotel pickup and drop-off are included. The captain collects you from your accommodation and returns you there after the four-hour sail.
What drinks and food come with the snorkeling catamaran?
Bottled water, snacks, and both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages are included throughout the half-day. The floating bar serves ice-cold drinks while you are in the water at Paradise Bay.
Can I book this catamaran for just my couple or family, or is it a shared boat?
The Vitamin Sea sails with your group only—no other passengers join you. You choose the group size at checkout, from two people up to twelve, and the captain customizes the route and stops for your party.
How long does the snorkeling catamaran take, and what time does it depart?
The half-day outing runs four hours total, including hotel pickup, sailing, snorkeling at the reefs and the floating bar experience, and drop-off. Specific departure times depend on the option you select at checkout.
