The Experience
The day starts with pickup from your hotel and a ride to the dock. Once aboard the modern catamaran, you lay on sunbeds positioned on the nets strung between the hulls—a vantage point that lets you watch stingrays and eagle rays move through the water below. Your captain hoists the sails, cuts the engine, and the boat glides across the lagoon. A hostess handles the sound system, takes photos of you against the backdrop of Otemanu Mountain and the reef line where the lagoon meets open ocean, and shares what she knows about the island as you sail.
The route circles the island with stops built in for what you came to do. You'll anchor in a bay for swimming and refreshments, then move to a snorkeling site where the reef holds colorful marine life. The floating bar—decorated with flowers and coconuts—arrives with alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, snacks and music playing. After the celebration in the shallow water near Matira Beach, the captain hoists the sails again to complete the island loop. You're then taken ashore to the Bora Bora Yacht Club for lunch by the lagoon before the return ride to your hotel.
