The experience

The ride starts on the Promenade des Anglais in soft electric mode, letting you settle into the e-bike before the pace picks up. You'll roll past the Rauba Capéu quay (where the Bay of Angels opens up and the mountains rise behind the city), and stop to take photos. Then the route follows the quays of Nice's Lympia port, a working harbor where fishing boats still tie up alongside the yachts.

From there you leave the city on the seaside road toward Villefranche-sur-Mer, one of the most scenic stretches on the Riviera. The route hugs the cape of Nice with views across to Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat, and once you reach Villefranche you visit the 16th-century Citadel St-Elme and the port. Your guide points out the villas scattered across the hillsides (homes of film and music stars), and tells the stories behind them.

The return climbs Mont Boron hill to Fort Mont Alban, where you can see the entire city of Nice spread below and the Mediterranean beyond.
