The experience
The ride starts on the Promenade des Anglais, heading west past the Negresco hotel and along a wide, comfortable cycle lane that hugs the turquoise Mediterranean. The e-bike does the heavy work on climbs, so you can focus on the coast itself: turquoise water on one side, the Côte d'Azur landscape on the other. You pass through Saint-Laurent-du-Var and Cagnes-sur-Mer, both quiet seaside towns, then ride the longest pebble beaches of the French Riviera at Villeneuve-Loubet before the Marina Baie des Anges comes into view: a cluster of distinctive pyramidal structures rising from the water.
Antibes is where the pace slows. Your guide takes you around Fort Carré, a 16th-century fortress, then to the Vauban port: the quay where the world's largest yachts are moored, their owners' names on hulls worth hundreds of millions. The contrast between the working fishing boats and the superyachts is the thing most riders mention. After that, you have 2 hours on your own: enough time to walk into the Old Town's narrow streets, visit the Picasso Museum if the line is short, pick up lunch at the Provençal market, or simply sit on one of the sandy beaches and let the ride settle.
The tour runs 6 hours total. You'll need a moderate fitness level. The e-bike helps, but you're still pedaling and the route has some gentle climbs. Helmets, rain coats and baskets are provided. Your guide speaks English or French and stays with the group the whole way. The minimum age is 16.

Is this one for you?The e-bike handles the climbs, but you're pedaling for 6 hours with a moderate pace, so a baseline fitness level matters. This is not a leisurely ride, and it's not for anyone with cardiovascular concerns. If you're comfortable on a bike for a morning and want to cover real distance without a car, this route delivers the coast in one day.

Top questions
What languages is the tour guided in?
Live guide in English and French.
How much of the ride is on a dedicated cycle lane versus sharing the road?
Most of the route follows wide, dedicated cycle lanes along the seaside, especially from Nice through Villeneuve-Loubet. The lanes are separated from traffic and designed for comfort on a longer ride. Once in Antibes, you'll be on regular streets in the Old Town during your free time.
What's the Marina Baie des Anges and why is it worth seeing?
Marina Baie des Anges is a striking complex of pyramidal residential and commercial structures built directly into the water between Villeneuve-Loubet and Antibes. It's one of the most distinctive modern landmarks on the Côte d'Azur and marks the final stretch before you arrive in Antibes.
Is there time to actually visit the Picasso Museum in Antibes, or just walk past it?
You get 2 hours of free time in Old Antibes. The Picasso Museum is there, but whether you can visit depends on the line and how much time you want to spend browsing the market or resting. Many riders do a mix: walk the Old Town, grab lunch, and skip the museum for another visit.
What happens if the weather turns bad during the ride?
Rain coats are provided as part of the tour. The route is mostly exposed along the coast, so rain is noticeable, but the e-bike and wide cycle lanes make it manageable. If conditions become unsafe, your guide will advise on the spot.
Can I bring my own bike, or do I have to use the e-bikes provided?
The tour includes the use of an e-bike. You ride one of the operator's bikes, which come with a basket, helmet and rain coat. This also means the guide can ensure everyone's bike is in good working order for the full 6-hour route.
