Two to four hours covers the main monuments: the Great Pyramid of Giza (the largest and one of the seven wonders), the Pyramid of Khafre (Egypt's second-largest), the Pyramid of Menkaure, and the Great Sphinx. Your guide meets you at your hotel, hostel, flat or airport and drives you directly to the site. Along the way, you'll get the historical context (who built what, why it mattered, which pharaoh was whose son), so the stones mean something when you stand in front of them.

The guide points out the best angles for photographs and knows where to position you so all three pyramids line up in a single shot. If you want to ride a camel, the guide can arrange it from the panoramic viewpoint. That's optional and costs extra. You'll also learn about mummification practices when you reach the Sphinx. The vehicle is air-conditioned, which matters in Giza's heat, and the whole route is designed to move you efficiently between the major sightlines without backtracking.

Entry fees to the pyramid complex are separate from the tour price and run about 700 Egyptian pounds per person (roughly $13). If you want to enter the Pyramid of Khufu itself, that's an additional 400 Egyptian pounds ($21), and the Pyramid of Khafre costs 100 Egyptian pounds ($6).
