The Experience

The day starts with hotel pickup in Hurghada, then a boat ride out to the first dive site. A certified instructor briefs you on the specifics of the location before you enter the water and explore the reef and fish life below. Once that dive ends, you stay on the boat for lunch and soft drinks while the crew moves to a second location. If diving again doesn't appeal, you can snorkel or swim instead—the choice is yours once you're on the water.

All scuba equipment is provided, so you arrive with nothing but a swimsuit and sunscreen. The boat carries a first aid medical box, and the instructors are trained professionals who work in English, French, German, or Arabic. The second dive gives you a different underwater landscape to explore, and the afternoon winds down with time to relax on deck before the return to shore in late afternoon.

Both options include the same two dives, lunch, and 7-hour structure; the instructor adjusts the depth and complexity to match your certification level.

Do I need to bring my own diving gear?

No. All scuba equipment is included—wetsuit, tank, regulator, and weights. You only need to bring a swimsuit, towel, and sunscreen.

What happens if I don't want to dive on the second site?

You can snorkel or swim instead. The boat stays at the second location for several hours, so you have options for how you spend that time on the water.

Is hotel pickup really included, or does it cost extra?

Hotel pickup from Hurghada is included. If your hotel is in Makadi or Sahl Hasheesh, there's a €5 surcharge per person; from Safaga, El Gouna, or Soma Bay, it's €10 per person. Standard Hurghada hotels have no extra charge.

Can children go diving, or is this adults only?

Children from age 6 are welcome. Younger children can come on the boat to snorkel or swim while adults dive. If you're traveling with infants or small children, let the operator know in advance so they can arrange a stroller or specialized infant seat.
