The experience

The day starts with hotel pickup in Hurghada and a transfer to the marina, where you board for a cruise across the Red Sea to Magawish Island. Two guided snorkeling stops break up the journey: each one lasts 30 to 45 minutes at coral reef sites, with full equipment (mask, fins, life jacket) provided and a professional guide in the water with you. The guides work with all levels, so whether you've snorkeled before or this is your first time, the pace and depth stay matched to the group.

Once you reach Magawish Island, you have around two hours to move at your own speed: swim in the turquoise water, sunbathe on the white sand, or simply sit and watch the reef. The island itself is the draw: clear water, soft beach, no crowds pressing. Lunch happens onboard, an open buffet with unlimited soft drinks, tea and coffee, eaten while the boat sits anchored and the Red Sea spreads out around you. If you want more adrenaline, parasailing is available for an additional cost and a view from above the water instead of inside it.

The boat returns to Hurghada by late afternoon, and the same air-conditioned vehicle that picked you up takes you back to your hotel. The eight-hour window includes travel time, so the actual snorkeling and island time fit inside a single day without rushing the return or cutting the reef stops short.
