Coral reefs and marine life stay with you longer than the boat ride back.

Guided scuba diving in Hurghada for certified divers includes two dives at carefully selected Red Sea sites, lunch, snorkeling gear, hotel pickup and air-conditioned transport. The small groups and professional guides tailor the dives to your experience level, and family members can join to snorkel or relax on board. If your last dive was more than 10 months ago, a refresh dive costs €20 and happens before the first dive.

The Experience

You get picked up from your Hurghada hotel in an air-conditioned vehicle and head to the boat with a crew that has been running this PADI resort for over 20 years. The operation stays small — not a cattle-boat operation — so the guides know who is on board and what each diver needs. Two dives are scheduled, each lasting 45 to 60 minutes, at sites the guides choose based on conditions and what marine life is active that day. The Red Sea here means thriving coral reefs, diverse fish, and visibility that lets you see the whole reef structure instead of swimming blind.

Between dives you stay on the boat with lunch and refreshments — coffee, tea, soft drinks, and food that actually tastes like someone cooked it. Snorkeling gear is on board if anyone in your group wants to stay in the water without the tank, and non-diving family members can simply sit on deck and watch the Red Sea. If your certification is current, you bring your PADI or SSI card and go. If your last dive was more than 10 months ago, the guides run a refresh during the first dive — it costs €20, payable when you board, and it takes the pressure off trying to remember everything at depth.

The whole day runs seven hours from pickup to drop-off. All scuba equipment is included, so you don't haul your own rig to Egypt. The guides speak English, French, German, and Arabic, so language is not a barrier to understanding the dive plan or the hand signals underwater.

Top questions

What happens if I haven't dived in more than a year?

A refresh dive is required before your first dive of the day. The guides run it during your first descent, and it costs €20 payable on board. This clears any rust and gets you comfortable before the full dive.

Can my family come if they don't dive?

Yes. Non-divers can snorkel from the boat, or simply stay on board and relax while you're underwater. Snorkeling equipment is included, and the boat crew keeps an eye on everyone.

What marine life will I see at the Red Sea sites?

The reefs here hold diverse fish, coral formations, and strong visibility — the guides choose sites based on what's active that day and current conditions. Expect to encounter thriving coral and varied marine life across the two dives.

Is the boat ride rough, and what if I get seasick?

The boat is described as comfortable, and the Red Sea in Hurghada is generally calmer than open ocean. Bring seasickness medication if you're prone to it, though the crew can advise on the day's conditions when you board.

What's included in the lunch, and are there dietary options?

Lunch and refreshments — coffee, tea, soft drinks — are provided on board. Specific dietary details aren't listed, so contact the resort directly if you have restrictions; they've been running this for over 20 years and are used to working with guests.
