An all-inclusive introductory scuba experience in Hurghada's Red Sea: two guided beginner dives with certified instructors, snorkeling between dives, and a full Egyptian buffet lunch aboard a modern dive boat. The Experience

The boat leaves the marina mid-morning after a short safety briefing at the dock. Your instructor walks you through the gear, checks your fit, and answers any question before you step aboard. The Red Sea crossing takes you to shallow reef sites picked for first-time divers — the kind of water where you can still see the surface, where the light is bright, and where the coral gardens start close enough that panic has nowhere to hide. Your first dive lasts around 45 minutes. You descend slowly, breathing deliberately, and the instructor stays within arm's reach the whole time. The reef unfolds in front of you: soft corals in shades of orange and pink, small tropical fish darting between branches, maybe a ray gliding past on the sand below.

Between the two dives, the boat anchors and lunch appears on deck — a freshly prepared Egyptian buffet with rice, grilled fish, vegetables, and bread. Soft drinks, water, coffee and tea flow all day. Non-divers in your group can snorkel the shallow reef nearby, float on the sundeck, or simply sit with a cold drink and watch the water. The afternoon dive explores a different site, often with steeper coral walls and a chance to spot larger fish or a curious ray. After that second dive, you either snorkel one more time or cruise back toward Hurghada as the sun starts its descent.

The gear — wetsuit, tank, regulator, buoyancy vest, fins, mask — is fitted to you at the marina and stays with you all day. Life jackets are available. The certified instructor speaks English, French, German, or Arabic depending on the boat's assignment that day. Hotel pickup and return are included; if you're staying in Makadi, Sahl Hashesh, or Soma Bay, the driver collects you from your accommodation and brings you back. The whole day is eight hours from door to door.

What happens if I've never scuba dived before?

The two dives are beginner-level and designed for first-timers. Your certified instructor stays beside you throughout each dive, walks you through every step on the boat beforehand, and the reef sites are shallow and calm. You don't need any certification or prior experience.

Can I snorkel instead of diving if I change my mind?

Yes. Non-divers can snorkel over the shallow reefs between the two dives and after the second one. You're welcome to skip a dive and snorkel that slot instead, or watch from the deck.

What's included in the all-inclusive part?

The buffet lunch, soft drinks, water, coffee and tea throughout the day, all diving and snorkeling equipment, life jackets, the certified instructor, and round-trip hotel pickup and drop-off. You don't pay extra for any of those.

How long does each dive last?

Each guided dive lasts around 45 minutes underwater. The boat ride between sites, the surface interval for lunch and rest, and the safety briefing add to the eight-hour day overall.

What if I'm staying outside Hurghada city center?

Pickup is available from hotels in Makadi, Sahl Hashesh, and Soma Bay as well as central Hurghada. Confirm your accommodation location when you book so the driver knows where to collect you.

Do I need to bring anything?

Bring sunscreen, a towel, and a change of clothes. The boat provides all diving and snorkeling gear, lunch, and drinks. Wear something easy to change out of at the marina.
