The experience

The jeep leaves your hotel in the afternoon and drives 17km into the desert to a spot away from town lights. You arrive to Arabian coffee and dates, then ride a camel into the open landscape. As the sun drops, you climb a hill on the Red Sea chain to watch the sunset between the mountains. Dinner is an open buffet of grilled chicken, meatballs, three kinds of salads, Arabian yellow rice, cooked vegetables, seasonal fruits and cola. Once darkness settles, the guide begins explaining star groups and horoscopes, then sets up the professional telescope so you can watch planets and constellations that are visible that night. The drive back to your hotel closes the evening.
