The experience
Your guide picks you up from your hotel and drives you to the Giza Pyramids, where you'll see the three main pyramids of Cheops, Chefren and Mykerinus. From there you move to the Great Sphinx, the limestone statue carved with a pharaoh's head and a lion's body, then explore the Valley Temple. A funerary complex that includes a mortuary temple and the Pyramid of Chefren. The guide walks you through the site at your own pace, explaining the layout and the history as you move between monuments.
After the pyramids, you're transferred to a Nile cruise for lunch. Once you've eaten, you head to the Egyptian Museum, which houses over 250,000 artifacts spanning 5,000 years of pharaonic art and craft. The collection is the largest of its kind in the world. You'll move through galleries of sculptures, jewelry, papyri and everyday objects that show how ancient Egyptians lived and what they valued. Your guide stays with you to point out the most significant pieces and answer questions. When the museum visit ends, you're driven back to your hotel.
The tour is private, so the timing and the stops are yours to shape within the five- to eight-hour window. Your guide speaks English, Spanish, Italian, French or another language of your choice, and hotel pickup is included in the price. Lunch is provided. Shopping and optional activities are not.

Live guide in English, Spanish, French, German and Italian.
Can children come?
Yes. Ticket types: Youth (6 to 11 years); Child (2 to 5 years); Infant (under 2).
What are the three main pyramids at Giza that I'll see on this tour?
The Giza Pyramids complex includes the pyramids of Cheops, Chefren and Mykerinus. Cheops is the largest. Chefren still has some of its original limestone casing visible at the top. Mykerinus is the smallest of the three. Your guide will explain the differences and the history of each as you walk the site.
What is the Great Sphinx and where is it in relation to the pyramids?
The Great Sphinx is a limestone statue with a pharaoh's head and a lion's body, carved from a single ridge of rock. It stands on the Giza plateau near the pyramids and faces east toward the rising sun. You'll see it as part of the pyramid complex tour before moving on to the Valley Temple.
How much time do I spend at the Egyptian Museum?
The museum visit is part of the five- to eight-hour tour, but the exact time depends on your interests and pace. Your guide can move you through the highlights or linger on pieces that interest you. The museum holds over 250,000 artifacts, so you'll see the most significant ones rather than every object in the collection.
