The experience

The day starts with pickup from your hotel and a drive to the Giza Pyramids, where you stand in front of the three monuments built by Khafre and his family during Egypt's Old Kingdom: structures ranked among the Seven Wonders of the World. Your Egyptologist guide walks you through the complex and explains the history and construction of each pyramid. The Great Sphinx, carved to protect the burial sites of the kings and representing the combination of mental and physical power, is the next stop on the same plateau.

After the pyramids, you move to the Grand Egyptian Museum, located about 1.2 kilometers from the pyramid complex. The museum is currently offering access to the Main Galleries, Grand Hall, Grand Staircase, the commercial area and exterior gardens. Lunch is included during the day, so you eat without breaking to find a restaurant. The guide remains with you throughout, providing context for what you see at each site.
