The van picks you up from your hotel in Punta Cana, Bávaro, Cap Cana, Cabeza de Toro, Macao, or Uvero Alto and takes you directly to El Dorado Water Park in Cap Cana. You don't navigate traffic or negotiate a taxi fare. The driver knows the route, and you arrive ready to move. The park sits on a natural cenote with dramatic rock walls, and the first thing most people do is walk straight to the water's edge and decide: jump or kayak first. The cenote itself, called Abismo Zafiro, has a platform where you can leap into the clear water if you're feeling it, or you can paddle across the lagoon on a kayak and let the tropical landscape sink in while you float.
After the cenote, the slides start calling. Salto de Fe is a zip line that runs above the park. You're suspended over the whole place, and the views are the point as much as the speed. Then come the signature slides: Trágame Tierra and Huracán move fast and drop hard, while Caza del Jaguar has obstacles built in, and Troncos Locos is exactly what it sounds like. If you want to slow down, the Wave Pool churns up artificial waves, and the Lazy River lets you float without thinking.
