The Experience

You start from your hotel in Punta Cana or Bávaro and arrive at La Hacienda Park in the Anamuya mountains for a safety briefing and gear check. From there the day splits into seven separate activities, each one something you do rather than observe. The buggy section puts you behind the wheel on dirt roads and muddy sections winding through the mountain scenery; the zipline circuit has you harnessed and gliding above the vegetation with views across the range. A quick jump platform lets you step off and freefall for a moment before the controlled descent kicks in.

The chairlift carries you above the canopy for a wide view of the region, then you ride horses along the trails with guides, moving through vegetation and rural landscapes. A cultural safari stop introduces you to cacao and coffee farming and the families who work the land. Before heading back, you cool off in the Anamuya River. The park provides helmets, safety equipment and first aid; water dispensers are free throughout. A Dominican buffet is available for an extra charge if you want to eat on-site.

Two options exist at checkout. The standard package includes the seven activities, the Kids Club if you have children, locker access and shared round-trip transport. The VIP upgrade swaps shared transport for private pickup, assigns you a personal guide instead of joining a group, adds unlimited drinks and a digital photo album of the day. Both run the same activities and include the same safety setup; the difference is whether you move as part of a larger group or with your own driver and guide.

What’s included

  • Full-day park admission with all seven activities.
  • helmets and safety equipment.
  • round-trip hotel transportation.
  • Kids Club access and lockers.
  • free water throughout the park.
  • first aid assistance on-site.

Top questions

Can I bring my kids to La Hacienda Park?

Yes. Infants and small children can ride in a pram or stroller, and there's a dedicated Kids Club at the park. Some activities require a minimum height of 3 feet 6 inches, so younger children may skip those while doing others. Specialized infant seats are available if needed.

What's the longest zipline in the Dominican Republic like?

La Hacienda Park's zipline is the country's longest. You're harnessed and guided by the park team as you glide above the vegetation with views over the Anamuya mountains — it's part of a full zipline circuit rather than a single run.

Do I need to be fit to do all seven activities?

The activities suit all physical fitness levels. Some have physical limits: the zipline has a maximum waist measurement of 42 inches, buggy and zipline activities have a maximum weight of 300 pounds, and a few activities require a minimum height of 3 feet 6 inches. The park is not recommended for travelers with spinal injuries, poor cardiovascular health, or pregnant travelers.

What's included in the price?

Full-day admission covers all seven activities, Kids Club access, locker use, helmets, safety equipment, first aid assistance, and free water throughout the park. Round-trip transportation from your hotel is included. A Dominican buffet is available for an extra charge; the VIP option adds unlimited drinks and a digital photo album.

What languages does the guide speak?

Guides are live and speak English, Spanish, and French.

How long does the full day take?

Plan for six to eight hours from hotel pickup to return, depending on how long you spend at each activity and whether you eat on-site.
