The experience
The tour starts at Damajagua Waterfalls, where you enter a system of 27 crystal clear pools descending through the jungle. You swim in the refreshing water and have the option to jump from different heights. The choice is yours depending on how adventurous you feel. A professional guide leads the way, and a security team is with you throughout. The pace is set by your own comfort level: you can climb and swim through as many waterfalls as you want, or stick to a shorter route if you'd rather conserve energy for the second half of the day.
After the waterfalls, you head to Monkeyland to meet squirrel monkeys in their natural habitat. This is a hands-on experience where you interact closely with the animals and learn about their behavior from your guide. It's designed to be safe and educational, a chance to connect with local wildlife without the distance of a viewing platform.
Transport picks you up and brings you back to your starting point. A typical Dominican lunch (homemade and authentic) is included, giving you time to rest and refuel after the physical part of the day. Bottled water is provided throughout, and the tour runs 4 to 5 hours total. Children from age 4 are welcome, and the guide speaks English or Spanish.

It may be canceled due to bad weather. If that happens, you're offered another date or a refund. Free cancellation up to 24 h before the start.
How many waterfalls will I actually swim through?
Damajagua has 27 waterfalls total, but you choose how many to tackle based on your energy and comfort. Your guide will lead you through as many as you want to do, so it's not a fixed number. Some travelers do a few, others go higher up the system.
Can I really jump off the waterfalls, or is that just optional?
Jumping is optional and depends on your confidence. The guide will show you the different heights available, and you decide whether to jump, slide, or swim through each pool. It's your call at each stop.
What is Monkeyland actually like?
Monkeyland is a safe, educational setting where you interact closely with squirrel monkeys in their natural habitat. Your guide teaches you about their behavior while you spend time with them. It's hands-on rather than watching from a distance.
What kind of lunch is included?
A typical Dominican lunch made at home is served, featuring authentic local cuisine. It's included in the tour price and eaten after the waterfalls and monkey visit, giving you time to relax before heading back.
Do I need to be very fit to do this tour?
The tour requires at least a moderate level of physical fitness because you'll be swimming, climbing, and walking through the waterfall system. The pace is flexible (you choose how many waterfalls to do), but there is physical activity involved.
