The Experience
The hike starts with a 40-minute trek through thick Dominican forest, crossing bridges and passing native flora before you reach the rocky top of a hill. From there, the descent begins: you slide down padded water slides or jump into the deep turquoise pools below, working your way down through seven main waterfalls. Safety gear is mandatory for every drop, and a guide stays with the group to help you through each one.
Children from age 8 can do all seven falls; younger kids are welcome to walk the forest and stay at the first pool instead. The whole experience—forest, waterfalls, return walk—takes about three and a half hours. An air-conditioned vehicle picks you up from your hotel and brings you back.
After the waterfalls, you'll eat lunch at a local buffet with different meats, rice, beans, fried potatoes, salad and other dishes. Bottled water is provided throughout the day, and all fees and taxes are already included in the price.

Is this one for you?You do the sliding and jumping yourself with the guide's help and safety gear in place, so this suits anyone with moderate fitness who wants to move through the waterfalls rather than watch them from a distance. Children from 8 up can do all seven falls; younger kids walk the forest and stay at the first pool, which keeps the group together without forcing anyone into a drop they're not ready for.
