Step-by-step itinerary

Explore waterfalls and local culture

  • Visit petrified stone crafts factory
  • Taste Dominican coffee and chocolate
  • Tour tobacco plantations and taste Mamajuana
  • Explore Damajagua waterfalls from first to seventh
  • Enjoy typical Dominican lunch

The experience

The tour starts at a petrified stone crafts factory where you taste Dominican coffee and chocolate, then moves to tobacco plantations to see how the crop is grown and processed, with a tasting of MAMAJUANA, a traditional local drink. From there you head to the waterfalls themselves, where the real work begins: you climb and jump through all seven cascades, starting at the first and working your way up to the seventh. The water is cold and the pools are deep enough to swim in between climbs.

Lunch comes after the waterfalls: a full Dominican meal of rice, beans, fried chicken, stew, beef, pork and green salad. The whole experience runs about 4 hours, and a live guide in English, Spanish, French or German leads the group through each stop. Hotel pickup is included, so you don't arrange your own transport to the starting point.
