The experience

Seven to eight hours takes you through both towns in one day. You start at St. Thekla, then drive past Nissi Beach on the way to Ayia Napa Harbour, where there is time for a coffee break if you want one. The route passes through Ayia Napa Square and stops at the Thalassa Municipal Museum for an hour before heading to the Love Bridge, a natural rock formation that is one of the most photographed spots in Cyprus. From there you move through the Agia Napa Sculpture Park, which holds Mediterranean plants, cacti and succulents, then spend thirty minutes at Cape Greco and its sea caves: the standout natural landmark along this stretch of coast, with rock formations that rise straight from the water.

After Cape Greco you visit Ayioi Anargiroi Church, then drive to Protaras for a lunch break of ninety minutes (you arrange and pay for your own meal). Fig Tree Bay comes next, with the option to swim for up to an hour if the water and weather suit you. The Church of Profitis Ilias sits on a hilltop with a panoramic view over Protaras, and you pass through the sculpture park again before the tour ends at a viewpoint overlooking Famagusta. An air-conditioned vehicle picks you up from your hotel and returns you there at the end of the day.

The guide speaks English or Greek depending on the group. Entrance fees to the museums and churches are separate from the tour price, so budget for those if you want to go inside. Children can travel in specialized infant seats or bring a pram if needed, and the pace suits all fitness levels.
