The experience

The day starts at a family-owned cheese farm where you watch the halloumi-making process from start to finish, then taste the fresh result alongside a Mediterranean brunch. From there, the route moves to a local winery where a short tour of the vineyard and cellars leads into a wine-tasting session with varieties the family produces. The Bee and Embroidery Museum comes next, showing the tools and methods used through centuries of Cypriot agriculture and beekeeping.

Lefkara, voted one of Europe's 30 most beautiful towns, is where the tour pauses for a village walk and a visit to one of the famous lace and silver workshops the town is known for. The route then heads to Fikardou, a 16th-century village now on UNESCO's Tentative List for World Heritage status. The day ends at a traditional tavern serving a selection of local dishes in the Cypriot meze style, with vegetarian options available.

The drive between stops winds through the Machairas Forest Pass in the Troodos Mountains, a route through dense pine forest with mountain views and occasional monastery glimpses. Eight hours total. Your guide speaks English and pickup runs from your Larnaca hotel.
