Eight hours, four islands, and as many swims as the day holds

A private speedboat snorkeling tour from Hvar covers the Blue Cave, Budikovac Island, Stiniva Cove and the Pakleni Islands in a single day, with an English-speaking skipper who customizes the route and timing to your preferences. The boat includes water and the crew. You choose how long to spend at each stop, whether to enter paid caves or swim in free alternatives nearby, and where to break for lunch.

The experience

The day starts from Hvar and moves at your pace across four main stops. The skipper navigates a private speedboat, so the route bends to what interests you: more time at one island, a skip of another, an extra swim at Mlini Beach on the way back. Water and the crew are included. Everything else (cave entry fees, lunch, tips) you arrange as you go.

Budikovac Island holds turquoise water shallow enough for snorkeling straight from the boat. The Blue Cave on Bisevo Island requires a small shuttle-boat transfer and a paid entry ticket, but if that does not appeal, the skipper knows a nearby free cave for swimming instead. Stiniva Cove sits enclosed by high rock walls and works as another swim stop. The Pakleni Islands, the last major stop, are popular for lunch (bring your own or eat at a restaurant there), and a final swim before heading back to Hvar.

The Green Cave near Vis appears early in the day and is optional. Swimming inside costs extra, or you can skip it for the secret cave alternative. The whole route is built around what you want to do, not a fixed schedule, so the snorkeling, swimming and sightseeing fit the day you actually want to have.

What’s included

  • Private speedboat with an English-speaking skipper.
  • bottled water throughout the day.
  • free time for snorkeling and swimming at each stop.
  • optional entry to the Blue Cave (ticket purchased separately on arrival) or a free alternative cave nearby.

Top questions

What happens if it rains?

It may be canceled due to bad weather. If that happens, you're offered another date or a refund. Free cancellation up to 24 h before the start.

What is the Blue Cave like, and do I have to pay to enter it?

The Blue Cave on Bisevo Island is a sea cave famous for the way light reflects off the water inside. Entry requires a separate ticket you buy on arrival, and you reach it by small shuttle-boat from the main speedboat. If you skip it, the skipper can take you to a free cave nearby for swimming instead.

Can I snorkel at every stop, or are some just for swimming?

Budikovac Island and Stiniva Cove both work for snorkeling. The water at Budikovac is shallow and clear. Stiniva Cove is enclosed by tall rock walls and also good for snorkeling. The Pakleni Islands are the final stop and offer swimming. Snorkeling conditions depend on where you anchor.

What happens if I want to spend more time at one island and skip another?

The route is customized to your preferences, so you tell the skipper which stops matter most. More time at Budikovac or Stiniva, a skip of the Green Cave, an extra swim at Mlini Beach: the eight-hour day reshapes around what you want to do.

Is lunch included, and where do we eat?

Lunch is not included in the tour price. The Pakleni Islands, your last major stop, have restaurants where you can order and eat, or you can bring your own food. The skipper can advise on options when you arrive.

How much time do we actually spend in the water versus traveling between islands?

The itinerary builds in free time for swimming and snorkeling at each of the four main stops. Travel between them happens on the speedboat. The exact split depends on how long you want to stay at each island: that is what "customized to your pace" means.
