After that comes a 2-hour ATV adventure through jungle trails, mud, rivers and ocean views near Jaco Beach, with a bilingual guide throughout.

The experience

The ziplining half starts with a tractor ride up the mountain, then you clip in and work your way down 12 platforms connected by 10 cables. One of them ranks among the longest in the region, so the drop and the view stretch longer than most. The platforms give you a moment to catch your breath and take in the canopy around you before the next line.

Once you're back on solid ground, the ATV kicks in. A 2-hour ride takes you through trails, mud, river crossings and jungle thick enough that you get a completely different angle on the Jaco Beach area than you'd see from the road. The terrain changes constantly (dense vegetation one moment, open river views the next), and the bilingual guide handles the route and the pace. Bottled water and snacks come with the package. Lunch is available for an extra cost if you want to eat at the park after.

The combo runs 4 hours total. Pickup from Jacó hotels is included in one of the purchase options. If you book without transport, you'll meet the group at the starting point. Minimum age is 18, and you need at least moderate fitness for both activities: the ziplining involves harnesses and heights, and the ATV demands balance on uneven terrain.
