The experience
The boat leaves with a naturalist guide who knows where the fish are running, where whales and dolphins show up by season, and which beaches have the clearest water for snorkeling. You decide what to do first: cast a line in the Gulf, strap on snorkeling gear at a beach stop, or head straight to the tidal caves if the tide is right. The guide brings fishing equipment and snorkeling gear, so you show up with nothing but a swimsuit.
Between activities, you move through water where you might spot marine life. The guide watches for whales and dolphins and changes course if something appears. Snorkeling happens at a beach with clear water where you can see the bottom. If you want to try wakeboarding, tubing or water skiing instead, the boat carries that gear too. The mangrove tour works on high tide, the tidal caves on low tide. The guide knows which window you're in and plans accordingly.
Food and drink travel with you: water bottles, sodas, natural juices, beer and wine, guacamole, pico de gallo, chips and fresh fruit. The four-hour window gives you time to do two or three activities without rushing, or to linger longer at one stop if the snorkeling is good or the fishing is hot.

Top questions
What languages is the tour guided in?
Live guide in English and Spanish.
What happens if it rains?
It may be canceled due to bad weather. If that happens, you're offered another date or a refund. Free cancellation up to 24 h before the start.
What's the water like for snorkeling in Playa Flamingo?
The beach stops have clear water shallow enough to see the bottom, where you can spot reef fish and other marine life. The guide knows which beaches have the best visibility on the day you go and steers there.
Can I do fishing and snorkeling on the same trip?
Yes, you pick the order and how much time to spend on each. The boat carries both fishing equipment and snorkeling gear, so you can switch between them or do one and skip the other entirely.
What if I want to see whales or dolphins?
The guide watches for them while you're on the water and changes course if they appear, though sightings depend on the season. Whale and dolphin watching is listed as a possible activity, not a guaranteed one.
Do I need to bring my own snorkeling equipment?
No, snorkeling gear is included, along with fishing equipment if you want to use it. Bring a swimsuit, sunscreen and a towel.
How does the guide know where to take the boat?
The guide is a naturalist who knows the local water, the fish patterns, where marine life gathers by season, and which beaches and caves are accessible at different tides. You tell them what you want to do, and they navigate to make it happen.
