Jet ski snorkeling in Playa Flamingo pairs a 2-hour guided ride across 10 beaches and one island with snorkeling stops where dolphins, turtles and manta rays often appear. You operate the jet ski yourself, following your guide's lead to each beach and deciding when to jump in the water. Snorkeling equipment is provided.

The experience

The activity starts with you at the controls of a jet ski, following a guide who knows where the marine life congregates. Over two hours, you'll cover ten different beaches and pull up at an island, stopping to snorkel whenever the guide spots something worth seeing or whenever you want to jump in. The guide handles the spotting (dolphins, turtles, manta rays), while you handle the throttle, so the adrenaline comes from both the speed and the discovery.

Snorkeling equipment is included, and you bring your own sunscreen, towel and sunglasses. The ocean in front of Playa Flamingo is your playground: you can stay shallow near the beach or follow the guide out to deeper water where the larger animals tend to appear. Children from age 5 are welcome, though the activity isn't recommended for travelers with spinal injuries, pregnancy, or cardiovascular concerns.
