The experience
The tour starts with hotel pickup and heads to the launch point in Playas del Coco. You'll ride your own jet ski across open water to the sea caves near Eggs Bay, where the rock formations rise straight from the ocean. Your guide leads you into the caverns and points out the viewpoint above the water. From there, the route cuts into the mangrove channels. Narrow, shallow waterways where the ecosystem shifts entirely: the noise of the open ocean drops away and you're moving through a forest of roots and branches, watching for the wildlife that lives in the calm.
The second half of the tour takes you past Monkey Head Island and into the reef-lined beaches where the water clears enough to see what's below. You stop at pristine islands and beaches where the marine life is concentrated, and the guide shows you what thrives in the shallows. Because you're on your own ski, the pace is yours to set within the route. You can linger at a stop or move through it, and the guide stays with you the whole way. Two hours covers all four zones: open water, caverns, mangrove forest and reef shallows, which is why the itinerary doesn't feel rushed even though it covers ground.

Is this one for you?Hotel pickup means you don't need a car or a way to reach the launch point. The operator collects you and brings you back, which matters if you're staying in town without a rental. The private format keeps the group small and the pace flexible, so you're not waiting for a larger group to move between stops.
