The experience

Pegasus is a classically designed 52-foot French sailing yacht that recently underwent extensive restoration. You'll arrive at Restaurante Pleamar, take a short panga ride to Flamingo Marina, and board with a welcome drink before the crew walks you through safety information and the day's options. The boat has a large deck, full kitchen, multiple bathrooms and spacious interiors, so there's room to move and rest between activities.

Once under sail, you'll pass Playa Penca and Penaguaste Island heading toward Las Catalinas and Honeymoon Beach. The crew picks an anchor spot based on the day's weather and visibility, then you jump into warm water while they prepare lunch. Snorkeling gear is provided, and the ocean here holds jumping dolphins, sea turtles, gliding manta rays and occasionally breaching whales. You can also paddleboard to hidden beaches only reachable by water, fish in some of Costa Rica's most diverse waters, or simply stay on deck and watch the scenery. A fresh local lunch arrives (fish or chicken tacos, burritos, chips, guacamole, seasonal fruit and vegetarian options) along with sodas, tropical cocktails, wines and beers.

If you book the full day, you'll watch the sunset from the water before the crew lifts anchor and heads back to Flamingo Marina, still watching for marine life along the way. The half-day option gives you the same activities and lunch in a shorter window. Transport to the meeting point is not included, though you can message to request assistance arranging it.
