The ride reaches the beach, then you spend an hour in the water before returning.

The experience

The ATV takes you through forest with varied terrain and ecosystems, arriving at Playa Minas where the ocean opens up. Once there, you put on the snorkeling gear (provided) and spend an hour in the water observing fish of different sizes, colors and shapes. The guide stays with the group throughout, and the route can extend to other beaches like Playa Piratas and Puerto Viejo depending on conditions and tide.

Hotel pickup and drop-off are included from Playa Flamingo. The full outing runs three hours. You'll need a valid driver's license to operate the ATV, and drivers must be at least 17 years old. Passengers can join from age 7, and a minimum of two people per booking is required. The activity operates daily depending on the tide, and a moderate level of fitness helps with both the riding and the water time. Bottled water is provided. Bring cash if you want to purchase drinks.
