The experience

You get your own ATV and a helmet with goggles, then a quick safety briefing and driving instructions before the ride starts. The bilingual guide leads small groups through private trails and open mountain roads, stopping in villages where people actually work and live, not the places tour buses go. Along the way you'll see monkeys, tropical birds and iguanas moving through the landscape, and the guide shares the stories behind what you're riding through.

The route winds through a working Costa Rican farm, then climbs into jungle and mountain terrain with panoramic views across Guanacaste. You control the pace on your own ATV, following the guide's line through dirt roads and trails. Bottled water and fresh seasonal fruit come with the ride. The whole experience runs two hours, ending back where you started.
