The experience

The tour starts with hotel pickup in a private vehicle and entry to the park without standing in queues. A bilingual guide with 16 years of experience leads the day, which breaks into two main sections. First comes the Devil's Throat trail: you board the Ecological Jungle Train, which carries you through the jungle and along the river, then disembark at Devil's Throat station. From there, a 1,100-meter catwalk hike takes you to balconies at the edge of the falls: no steps involved, just the walkway itself. This is the highlight of the Argentine side, where the tallest waterfalls drop in front of you.

After Devil's Throat, the Upper Circuit begins at Cataratas Station and runs for about 80 minutes, offering panoramic views of the falls and the river from different angles. Throughout both sections, the guide shares information about the park's geology, fauna, flora and geography, and points out the best spots for photographs. The full tour in the Argentine park lasts around 7 hours. A boat ride at the falls is available as an optional add-on if you want to get closer to the water.
