The tour starts with pickup from your Ushuaia hotel and heads into Tierra del Fuego National Park, where the landscape shifts between beech forests, windswept plateaus and water views. You'll stop at Lake Roca, a binational lake shared with Chile and also known by its original name, Lake Acigami, before moving on to the final destination: Lapataia Bay. This is the culmination point: the southern terminus of the Pan-American Highway that stretches over 15,000 kilometers from Alaska. Most travelers who reach Ushuaia come specifically for this marker, and the bay is where you'll find the signs and maps that prove you've arrived at this milestone.

The route takes about five hours total. Your guide handles the driving and narration, pointing out the flora and fauna along the way and explaining what you're seeing as the landscape changes. At the end, the operator includes a warm detail: a small gesture designed to mark the moment of reaching the end of the world. If you've booked tickets for the optional End of the World Train (Tren del Fin del Mundo), a stop is made at the train station. The train itself is not part of this tour and operates on its own schedule.
