The Experience

"Wait, I have to balance on what?" That's usually the first thing people say when they realize they're about to spend two hours on a Segway gliding through Victoria Falls. But here's the thing — after a quick training session, you're scooting through the town centre like you've done it a hundred times, past the local markets and the hustle of the cultural hub, heading straight toward the Big Tree. This isn't some cramped museum tour where you're herded through a rope line. It's just you, your guide, and four other people maximum, which means there's actual time to breathe and ask questions instead of being rushed to the next photo stop.

The Big Tree itself is something else. At 22.4 meters around the girth and possibly 2,000 years old, this Baobab towers over everything around it, and you'll have time to walk around it, sit in the shade, grab water, and let it sink in that you're standing next to something that's been here longer than most countries have existed. From there, the tour heads out onto Zambezi Drive — almost 4 kilometers of riverside riding where the landscape opens up and you might spot impalas, bushbucks, or if you're lucky, elephants and hippos moving through the bush.
